Early childhood is the most important part of a person’s life, and where we can be the most influential within the community and society – by targeting children at their youngest years, the Trachoma health education program will have the most impact. This is why Early Starters International, a non-profit organization that creates programs in early childhood education joined the NALA foundation in the Trachoma Health Education program, training educators and community leaders on how to make health education on Trachoma the most effective in early childhood. Focussing on the youngest children in school systems will affect behavioral change within the classroom, the school and the community leading to sustainable change on preventing the spread of Trachoma and building healthier communities.
